Influence
The collective voice is louder and together we have influence within local planning and building control departments. We respond collectively to consultations on legislation that affects our work.
CPD
CPD forms part of our quarterly meetings with presentations by professionals and technical specialists as well as building and site visits. Arranged by members for members, ECAN CDP is vital and relevant to the work we do.
Free Documents
ECAN members have free access to Architects Appointment document ASP 2018 and Appropriate Arrangement Checklist to comply with ARB Code of Conduct 2.2 as a sole practitioner. These documents are uniquely developed with and approved by RIAS and ARB by ECAN members for sole practitioners.
Share resources
Get help on a project if you are busy, or pass on work if you are too busy. Some architects carry specialist skills and can assist in the work of others.
Group discounts
ECAN members club together to purchase subscriptions at significant discount. Some members currently enjoy a reduced TRADA subscription.
ECAN at ESPC
ECAN has a longstanding working relationship with ESPC, offering guidance to home buyers and giving support to their public events with our expertise.
Appropriate Arrangements (Meeting ARB Code of Conduct requirement)
In the unlikely event of your inability to work, your appointed person can contact ECAN to pass on work that you are unable to complete.
Membership & Fee Discounts
Membership Fee is £65.00, paid electronically. Annual membership runs from January each year. Pro rata discounts are based on quarterly calculation, joining between April to June attracts 25% discount, July to September 50%, and October to December 75% discount.
Membership Application Process:
Upon application through this site, you will receive an automated acknowledgement of your submission.
Your application will be considered by the current membership within 10 working days.
When the application has been approved, you will be contacted to make payment of the relevant subscription fee.
